During the pandemic many of you moved within your Service or Job Family enabling us to continue to provide essential services to the most vulnerable people in our communities. This was supported by others who volunteered to be re-tasked into a different role.

As part of our Recovery Plans, we will continue to adopt this approach. We would like to offer all employees the opportunity to be part of this important response team, – “Covid Responders” – willing to be re-tasked to a different role should the need arise. Participation in the Covid Responder team is voluntary and you will have the option to withdraw at any time.

Examples of re-tasking activities include making telephone calls as part of Test and Trace; packing and delivery of food parcels; carrying out welfare checks using a script in areas where there is a localised spike in cases; drivers to deliver to local pharmacies/GP surgeries; or to transport colleagues in refuse collection, as well as providing social care in our care homes and to vulnerable citizens in our communities.

Over the coming days, you will receive an email, to your work account, asking you to complete a short survey to ensure we hold up-to-date, accurate information about you and you will be asked to indicate if you would be willing to be a Covid Responder. You should discuss and seek the agreement of your line manager if you wish to be a Covid Responder.

You can also access the survey by using the following link – Supporting Essential Services. Alternatively, scan the QR code below with your smartphone or tablet. You will require your employee number which can be found on your payslip to complete the survey. Choose ‘continue without an account’ to start the survey.

Some Frequently Asked Questions can be found here which outlines the support
available to Covid Responders and their manager. The survey will be open until 23
October 2020.

Thank you for your continued dedication and commitment. Stay safe and please also
